Services and Port Numbers Used by Net8

This appendix describes the services and port numbers used by Oracle Networking Products. Specific topics discussed are:

Listener  

OracleTNSListener80LSNR

where LSNR is the listener name defined in the LISTENER.ORA configuration file on the server.

The default service name is OracleTNSListener80.  

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleTNSListener80 from the listing.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Close the Services window.
 

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleTNSListener80 from the listing.
  3. Click Stop.
  4. Close the Services window.
 

Oracle Names  

OracleNamesService80  

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleNamesService80 from the listing.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Close the Services window.
 

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleNamesService80 from the listing.
  3. Click Stop.
  4. Close the Services window.
 

Client Cache Service  

OracleClientCache80  

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleClientCache80 from the listing.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Close the Services window.

 

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleClientCache80 from the listing.
  3. Click Stop.
  4. Close the Services window.
 

Oracle Connection Manager  

OracleCManService80

OracleCMAdminService80  

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleCMAdminService80
  3. Click Start.
  4. Select OracleCManService80 from the listing.
  5. Click Start.
  6. Close the Services window
 

From the Windows NT Control Panel:

  1. Double-click Services.
  2. Select OracleCMAdminService80
  3. Click Stop.
  4. Select OracleCManService80 from the listing.
  5. Click Stop.
  6. Close the Services window.
 

Port Numbers
