Installation Requirements

This chapter details the requirements for installing the Oracle Video Server (OVS).

Hardware Requirements

Hardware	Required
CPU	a SunSPARC or UltraSPARC processor
Memory	64 MB RAM
Disk space	100 MB
CD-ROM Device	RockRidge format
Hard disks	2 GB capacity disks with Fast-Wide SCSI interface to store video content.
Network interface card	Network interface that supports UDP/IP and has an adequate bandwidth for the number of concurrent video streams to be provided (Refer to Chapter 2, "Oracle Video Server System Planning" of the Oracle Video Server Administrator's Guide for information on network planning).
