Understanding the Oracle Network Products Directory Structure
The Oracle Installer places all SQL*Net products into subdirectories of ORAWIN for Windows, ORANT for Windows NT, and ORAWIN95 for Windows 95. The table below describes the directory structure:

Verify correct installation of the following Oracle network products.
DIR ORACLE_HOME\BIN\*DLLThe following DLL file names appear:
Message Files
Verify that the message files listed below are located in the ORACLE_HOME\DBS subdirectory by entering:
DIR ORACLE_HOME\DBS\*.MSBThe following message files appear:
Server Executables
If you installed SQL*Net on a Windows NT server, verify that the server executable files listed below are in your ORACLE_HOME\BIN directory by entering the following command:
DIR ORANT\BIN\*.EXEThe following server executables appear:

Before configuring Oracle Protocol Adapters and SQL*Net, check that ANO is installed by verifying the following DLL file names appear in the ORACLE_HOME\BIN directory:
Verifying Environment Setup
Verify that the necessary Oracle files are in your path. At the command prompt by entering:
C:>PATHIf SQL*Net and an Oracle Protocol Adapter are installed to the default home directory, the following is part of the PATH statement:
