This guide is not intended as a standalone document. It is a supplement to Oracle8i Visual Information Retreival User's Guide and Reference, specifically, to describe the Java client interface. You need both guides to successfully perform visual information retrieval using the Java interface to this product.
In addition, the OrdVir Java class library described in this guide contains many inherited methods that are documented in Oracle8i interMedia Audio, Image, and Video Java Client User's Guide and Reference. This guide should also be considered essential in understanding and using the Java interface to this product.
